Occasionally we run across new hourglasses that are unique enough that we purchase them as "tryers" to gauge customer interest and this is one of them so we have a VERY limited quantity. The solid wood base has a USB plug and while connected the light shines up through the glass. After about 10 minutes the sand will eventually cover the light. This hourglass can function as a night light, meditation instrument, or any timed application you like!
