LIMITED EDITION! Due to multiple requests this padauk hourglass is now offered in the 8x12 size for a limited amount of time. Handcrafted from solid padauk wood grown in Africa, the color is reddish-brown, often with dark stripes. It is moderately hard and heavy with a medium texture and large pores and a very smooth surface. An elegant and unique wood, its color will deepen as the wood ages. If exposed to prolonged periods of direct sunlight it will turn a beautiful golden brown. Combined with glass bulbs hand-blown in England, this piece is beautiful.
As with all wood each piece will vary slightly in grain and color making each hourglass unique. Hourglasses are handmade so sizes are approximate.

- Available fully assembled (as shown) or in kit form for customers who want to add their own sand (i.e. two different colors). Note: globe provided has a larger hole to accommodate different types of sand so timer accuracy is not ensured.
