I received my purchase quickly and in excellent condition. the engraving is exactly what I wanted. If I could suggest, a small funnel included would be wonderful. I tried rolling paper cones, using straws, etc, until i had to improvise a cake decoration tool. I used the piece to hold my fiancee's cremains.
Received the beautiful zebra wood hourglass. It is well made and just the right size to have on a shelf. We are displaying it now, with sand in it because it is so pretty.
I would have given it a 5 star, however I worry that the opening between the two glass bulbs will be too small for the human remains, even filtered, to flow through when the time comes.

Everything was packaged securely and arrive sooner than expected. It came with instructions on how to fill the hourglass. I gave my dogs ashes inside it and it’s a really beautiful piece. Really sad but also really happy with the purchase
The glass component was installed slightly crooked but I was able to easily unscrew the top and straighten it out myself. Also, the glass is slightly deformed in shape (droopy on one side). But those are the only flaws — overall it's a BEAUTIFUL addition to my desk, the metallic finish is perfect, and the time is accurate. I've been using it daily for over 2 months. Thank you!
This hourglass is exactly what I wanted! It is just the right size, stands on its own, nothing detailed or fancy. It is accurate to within 10 seconds of the listed 15 minute time. I use it for tarot readings. It looks great on the table and is better than watching my phone for the time.

The only comment is the navy blue looks black. It did look lighter in the pictute My would have picked another color. Otherwise very nice product!!

My wife said what she really wants for her birthday is more time; so I thought of buying her an hourglass. We drove up to Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada for her birthday and when she opened the present she was delighted with laughter upon unwrapping the hourglass. She really likes her "Time in a bottle". The craftsmanship of the zebra wood was greatly to her liking.
It’s a very nice piece. We’re excited to use it in our wedding ceremony. My only gripe is that the hole on top for pouring the sand inside is very very small. None of the funnels we have around the house will work so the only option is to make a small funnel out of a scrap of paper. It just feels a bit off, pouring sand into this elegant hourglass with a paper funnel. It should come with a tiny plastic funnel.
This is a unique piece I think is really sweet. As someone who doesn't do well with supremely fragile objects, I am comforted my timer is in a little protective bobbin. This is much lighter than I imagined - less than 2 pounds (less than ~60 grams). This will serve two purposes in my office 1) Tea timer 2) Meditation timer for my lunch breaks. This is my first sand timer purchase and I researched the purchase for months before moving forward - I am glad I chose this one. I wanted a relaxing analog timekeeping ritual and this serves the purpose!

This hourglass looks nice. I’ll be honest, was disappointed that it shows better on one end because of the wider bottom. It seems that both ends should have the same design. But it’s fine other than that.

I’ve been a fan of HP since the books were first released during my childhood. Of the movie franchise, the third movie has ALWAYS been my favorite adaptation. When my 11yr old best four-legged friend was diagnosed with kidney failure, I knew I wanted to have something special for her resting place. I came across the idea of an hourglass and found this website. After her cremation, my two-legged best friend helped me use a metal tea-ball to sift the finer cremains so there was no clogging in the hourglass. Mixed with a bit of Coney Island sand, where I found my four-legged best friend as a puppy, this piece is both beautiful and functional with the incorporation of real sand. Because this is small, not all of the cremains would fit (and she was a chihuahua/shih tzu mixed breed). It was also super helpful to have more than one set of hands in the transfer process.
