As the Victorian cotton and woolen mills closed throughout the industrial North of England and Scotland over the last 40 years the antique wooden bobbins and shuttles left behind have been transformed into original wooden items. A vintage thread spool sticker is placed on the base to give it even more character.
As with all antique and hand-made items, the colors and decorations will vary. We consider this to be a special part of their history and character.

Beautiful piece but I was disturbed by the packing methods. It arrived double boxed, the inside box was an Amazon box with the lid ripped off, and it was filled with broken pieces of styrofoam. I didn’t feel safe repackaging it for Christmas so it was given early. Thanks for that. He loved it though.

This is beautiful!! Packed very well to prevent damage. The engraving is wonderful, as well. My daughters office at home has an old school Clue Game study-type decor. This will fit in perfectly!!

A beautiful throwback in time. Sits next to my old fashioned chess set. and is accurate enough to limit games to an hour. Customer service was excellent--A+. Highly recommended. I may get another one for the library. Many thanks.
