Solid Birdseye Maple Hourglass With Smooth Spindles

Beautiful, well-made...clearly love went into creating this hourglass!!! Just have to note I gave it as a gift to my sister, a therapist in Denver, and the 50 min hourglass ran out in 48 min, 17 sec. Not too much of a problem, she can wrap up her sessions a bit early. ;). Just wondering if the lower air pressure at higher altitudes causes the sand to run more quickly??

The price is a bit high for an hour-glass, but if you appreciate beauty, it's worth it. I'm pretty sure you won't get one this nice at a lower price. Signed by the artist. Beautifully handmade craftsmanship. American Birdseye Maple and English handblown glass. The natural finish shows off the wood's beautiful pattern and mesmerizing lustre. The sand matches nicely, a "salt-n-pepper" desert-sand colour. The sand flows smoothly and doesn't get stuck. I timed it for about 15 minutes and 45 seconds. For a luxury hour-glass, I recommend this company.

The reason I would get a 8 out of 10 because the amount that we paid for the hourglass was to much for how little the hourglass was but it was made really good and the wood looked amazing...
