This custom Signature Collection hourglass is handcrafted from solid chechen wood grown in Central America (limited supply). A beautiful wood with fine texture and small pores it is also very durable. The color is a golden light brown with darker stripes of blackish brown. Like all wood, chechen varies in graining and color - no two are alike. Combined with glass bulbs hand-blown in England, this classic piece is stunning.

Available fully assembled (as shown) or in kit form.
Fully assembled have 5 or 15 minute timers in the 4x6 size, 60 or 50 minutes in the 6x10 size, and 60 minutes in the 8x12 size. (size approximate as globes are handblown and frame built around them)
Kits are available with two options: You assemble, no sand - for customers who want to add their own sand (i.e. two different colors). Note: globe provided has a larger hole to accommodate different types of sand so timer accuracy is not ensured.
You assemble, sand included - for customers who want a more accurate hourglass. The natural sand you see pictured comes with your kit (not available with all options).
Made when ordered, usually arrives within 2 weeks.

The hourglass is very beautiful, simple and elegant. I will purchase a larger size as well. Everything about the experience was positive. The company was very responsive with emails and I feel they dealt with me honestly. It was as personal an experience as you could ask for with an online transaction. We ordered this for our wedding to use in our unity ceremony and it was perfect. It is unique and beautifully made. It came with clear instructions on assembly. We're excited to not only display it but also use it. Because the opening for the glass is small, we just used a piece of paper to make a funnel and that worked out just fine.

The unit is very small at first I thought too small.(its size is growing on me) The hole in the glass for filling is very tiny and you don't sell funnels. This is now a trick to find something that small that will allow sand to travel thru. This will be used in a wedding ceremony.
