This is a brand new Signature Collection hourglass. Handmade from solid chechen grown in Central America and protected by an oil rubbed finish. A heavy, dense wood it is as smooth as marble. T he c olors range from brown, orange, red, golden, and black all embedded with a shimmering iridescence . Like all wood, chechen varies in graining and color - no two are alike. Combined with glass bulbs hand-blown in England, this classic piece is stunning.

Available fully assembled (as shown) or in kit form. Kits are available with two options: You assemble, no sand - for customers who want to add their own sand (i.e. two different colors). Note: globe provided has a larger hole to accommodate different types of sand so timer accuracy is not ensured.

Not Exactly

Beautiful wooden frame but incorrect description. The actual measurements are 5 7/8"Dia x 9"Tall (not 6x10 inches as described). I'm old but can still read a tape measure. I don't mind paying for quality but I do expect to get what I pay for. This hour glass was considerably more $$ than others on the web. I convinced my wife to compromise because she wanted one 12" tall. We were both disappointed when it arrived! Quality seems to be there but the honesty isn't.

They are handblown and vary by length so the hourglasses usually are usually in the 10' range (some shorter, some taller), thus the number. Chechen Wood Hourglass

I’m very pleased with my purchase of this hourglass. It’s hard to find high quality items like this anymore. The Chechen wood and spiral spindles make for a very antique look like something Gandalf might have on a shelf. It’s pretty accurate as a sixty minute timer too but I think most people will buy it for the work of art that it is. It’s sure to get a lot of great comments when visitors stop by.

Last Minute Wedding Hourglass

I ordered my hourglass for my wedding. I only had a month to the wedding and my hourglass arrived early as well as beautifully engraved. I couldn't be happier with the hourglass. My only complaint was that I couldn't find the proper sand to use for it. The sand I bought from another vendor was too large. It would be nice to be able to purchase the sand from the same vendor or have had recommendations provided for sand that would work.

Customer service was outstanding. I sent an email and received a response immediately. They were very helpful and engaged with me in selected the perfect hourglass. Thank you!
