This is a brand new Signature Collection hourglass, h andcrafted from solid padauk wood grown in Africa. The color is a reddish-brown, often with dark stripes. It is moderately hard and heavy with a medium texture and large pores and a very smooth surface. An elegant and unique wood, it's reddish brown color will deepen as the wood ages, taking on an antique look. If exposed to prolonged periods of direct sunlight it will turn a beautiful golden brown. Paired with metal spindles it combines traditional and contemporary beautifully.
