Solid Padauk Hourglass With Spiral Spindles

What a beautiful timepiece this is. I've always liked hourglasses and couldn't resist buying one for myself. When I first took it out of the box it I thought how much nicer it looked in person than on the website. It's very solidly made. You can tell a lot of care went into both the wood and glass and that it will last for many years. I wanted a semi functional timer as well and even though they list these as ornamental, I was happy to see that after testing the times we're actually pretty on point. Side A had an average time of 1:01:20 with the highest divergence of 1:01:27 while side B had an average of 1:00:30 with the fastest being 1:00:27. So all in all pretty accurate!

Ordered this as a fiftieth anniversary gift for my spouse. Shannon was very helpful with the order and engraving request. Arrived on time with superb workmanship. It’s everything I had hoped for.

I wanted to use an hourglass for some functionality from our wedding memorabilia. I selected the hourglass with the wood from Africa since my husband and I developed our relationship during his deployment to Burundi Africa. Funny thing the letter we received from the farmer who carved our hourglass is a big fan of The Wizard of Oz so is my mother-in-law and our song selection for the parent dances was 'Over the Rainbow.'

The ordering was simple. I was a bit worried on the timing of the delivery because my account did not reflect a shipping notification. However the day I called/emailed about my order it literally arrived at our house within minutes.

This is a really neat hourglass. We really like it it came quickly and it looks nice. My only wish was that it came with a funnel as it's hard to find one that small of size!
Had to glue in the pieces myself which was easy to do as long as you have some wood glue to assemble it.

The wood was a little more red than I expected but it was simply beautiful! I can tell that a lot of hard work went into creating the piece. I ordered the 60 min hourglass and it clocked in at 60 mins and 10 seconds - talk about accurate! My brother for whose graduation it was purchased simply loves it!

There was an issue with my address but it was resolved and with the best possible experience - vacations and all!

The cherry color was not as dark and rich as appeared on-line. It's a bright red. Craftsmanship was great. The person I gave it to loved it.

My husband and I got this for our wedding as a stand in for a unity candle or something. The hourglass is absolutely beautiful. The color is stunning. It's a beautiful red/orange. I've never seen anything like it and the craftsmanship is perfect. LOVE IT! If you buy a kit make sure to get very fine sand though. The place it falls through is quite small. Wonderful product!

I bought this as a birthday gift for my daughter in law who had expressed a desire for one. This product and the uniqueness of it went beyond my expectations! The wood is gorgeous and the privilege of choosing the length of time as well as color of sand was an added bonus! Since it is called an 'hour glass' we chose the 60 minute. The glass is beautiful and hand blown from England. The hourglass is built to order which adds a personal touch. This has started a tradition in our family. I immediately received requests from three more daughters! The hourglass is well worth it's price!

The creator of the hourglass was scheduled to go on vacation the day after I made my order. So our receipt of the product took longer so the receiver got it late for her birthday. Everyone needs a vacation so that was NOT an issue for me. I printed out an enlarged photo of it from their website placed the print out in a box and wrapped it with birthday wrap! My daughter in law was excited at that presentation and more excited when the product arrived! I would highly recommend the product and the producer!
