This is the third hourglass I have purchased from Just Hourglasses. Beautiful craftsmanship. Great customer service.

Purchased for a coworker's retirement/award and years of service. Great color and grain in the wood. Went with the laser engraving directly to the wood. Looks wonderful. Very eye catching and memorable. Ordering, payment with a purchase order, and shipping were all great- No issues.

10/10 would recommend.

Four takeaways:
1) Solid and beautiful construction.
2) The hand-carved charm feels even more personal as it includes a card with the craftsman's signature.
3) The accuracy was far beyond my expectation: while JHG says most of their products are +/- 10% accurate, this one-hour piece was precisely 10 seconds over an hour (99.72% accurate).
4) Though the tracking notifications were out of sync and took time to catch up, the actual product arrived in only a few days.

I'm very impressed and know exactly where to go if I need another hourglass gift.

Expensive for the quality level

Smaller than I thought it would be at this price though. My only complaint was the 3 week delivery time.

This was purchased unassembled to be used as part of a going away/honoring event. We had the top engraved, which turned out lovely. Hourglass assembled is beautiful and the handmade quality is immediately noticeable. The customer service was great throughout the ordering process. Very pleased with the purchase.

I ordered a solid Walnut hourglass with spiral spindles. I ordered this for my daughter-n-law for her pharmacy graduation. I asked to have it engraved on top with her name, title, and pharmacy emblem. I don't know what I can say but "Whow". It was beyond beautiful and of good quality. The company worked with me to have it by a specific date that I needed it. I cannot say enough good about Just Hourglass. I highly recommend this company to trust in for your special something. I’m happy with the purchase. The quality of the wood work is nice and it actually functions right on the dial with the hour. I use it to time guitar lessons with my youngest so she will stop asking how much time is left. Lol.....very happy with this purchase.

I bought it to be the centerpiece of our sand ceremony in my upcoming wedding. Its so lovely, even empty, I cant wait to fill it and have it sit on in our home for years to come.

Got for my daughters wedding and was very impressed with the quality and beauty of it. A special touch to have a note made by a farmer and gave the state!

The nice note in the box about the craftsman and companies quality commitment was an extra special surprise. I am from NE originally so was excited to see that is where our hourglass was created. If the wood came from my stepdad's hardwood sawmill that would make it all the more perfect. Either way I am very happy we paid extra for this piece. Knowing that it came from my home state is icing on the wedding cup cake!

We had originally planned to order an hourglass from another less expensive company but the owner could not guarantee that we would receive the hourglass in time for our wedding - even though we were a month out! I found justhourglasses.com and the shipping was a lot faster. I spoke with Shannon and she assured me that we would receive the hourglass in plenty of time. That was a relief - one less thing to worry about with wedding planning. The hourglass arrived so quickly and nothing was broken or out of place. The hourglass is beautiful and we can't wait to use it in our wedding ceremony!

The customer service has been outstanding! Shannon is very prompt at answering any questions or easing concerns. We had a problem with our engraved discs but it was taken care of within the week. Very nice to feel like people are on top of any problems that arise and will take care of you. Highly recommended!

I've always wanted a fine hourglass. I sure got my wish with this product! The craftsmanship is outstanding and I couldn't be more pleased with the design. It also functions better than expected. I've turned it over many times and the sand has yet to 'stick'. It flows smoothly and the time accuracy is quite astonishing. I put a thing coat of museum wax on it to protect the wood buffed it and expect to have this stunning piece for many years. The gentleman who makes these hourglasses deserves high praise for the skilled craftsman he is. I would recommend his line to anyone!

Excellent service in every way. I would only suggest wrapping the hourglass in several layers of tissue paper with a layer of secured bubblewrap around that before placing it in the layers of loose bubblewrap. When I opened the box the hourglass had shifted to the bottom but luckily wasn't damaged at all. All in all a great experience.

This is indeed a beautiful gift. I was wracking my brain unable to find something as a Christmas Gift for my daughter and son in law until I saw a crude hour glass at a friands' house and thought what a great gift idea so I lookedfor the best....and found it !Well crafted and just so unusual as a gift.

Product is great. We had to figure out a way to get sand into hourglass as part of our ceremony. Some type of funnel specific to hole size would be helpful.

I called to ask about engraving and they were wonderful! Very very friendly and helpful.

It was really nice...but the bulb was very thin glass and broke very easily..which makes me nervous to handle it again. Also the sand I had was to big to fit thru the bulb which I hadn't took into account.

Service was excellent! It came just in the nick of time before my wedding.
