I have timed my new hourglass 20 times and the fastest time is 1 hour 2 minutes and 10 seconds. The slowest time is 1 hour 3 minutes and 25 seconds. It was very important to me for the glass to be very close to an hour. It may never be able to be exact because of all of the variables, but I at least wanted it to be close to an hour glass not and hour and 3 minute hour glass. How can I get it to be a true hour glass? The beauty of it is fantastic. I just want it to be accurate.
