Beautiful product. I love that it was made from reclaimed wood. I had engraving done and it still arrived very quickly.

I adore my new hourglass, made with pieces from a precious past. The Customer Service has also been particularly wonderful. I needed some questions answered, and they were prompt and insightful. I worry a little bit that the spacers may wear out, but we’ll see. I hope to have this for many years.

I had been searching for an hourglass like this since I watched Christmas at Biltmore. All of them were too expensive until I found this treasure. Beautiful quality and reasonably priced. Thank you!

Very nice clock

We purchased six of these to use with cremains from my husband to give to his six adult children. Shannon made sure the engravings came out perfect and the children were deeply touched by the ability to have something so special to remember their father.

My one bit of advice for anyone doing this with cremains if you want it to flow a bit. You'll only use a very low proportion of ash to sand to mix for something that will still mostly flow. It took us several tries but we finally got the proportions close enough. I would guess it was about 1:4 ash to sand. We sieved it first and then sieved again in the mixing. The trouble was worth it to see the faces of the adult children.

I like the antique charm. I think the cost is absoulutley fair and would recommend it.

I bought this several months ago for my wife to help her keep track of those time alligator conversations at work. I got this idea from a review left for a different hourglass and thought it was brilliant. If someone wants to talk non-business, start the timer. Once five minutes are up, so is the chit-chat. If it’s work related, takes more than 5 minutes, and you are otherwise busy, wrap it up and schedule a meeting. Simple, elegant, visual for all to see. I ran multiple time tests, and the 5 Minute Antique Wood Tea Break Timer Hourglass runs an average of 5:10 (+3%, 97% accuracy).

For reference, the hourglasses in the background include the 15-minute Pirate Bobbin (black sand), 20-minute antique bobbin (white sand), and the freestanding 15-minute (blue sand) - I'm enjoying every one of them!

Received the hourglass in excellent condition. Read the instructions and realized that I needed to buy some fine grain sand to enable the ashes to flow easier. The amount needed is so small that maybe this provider could include purchasing this small amount to complete the hourglass. I finally found a small jar of sand at Hobby Lobby. Overall, I am very pleased with the look, quality and craftsmanship of this hourglass urn. I bought this for my mother-in-law's cremains and gave it to my daughter. She had a special relationship with her and misses her daily. She lives thousands of miles away and now she'll have this hourglass to remember her "MeMe" with love.

I couldn’t be happier with the hourglass we purchased for some dear friends of ours as a wedding gift. It’s not only beautiful but the history behind it makes it so much more.
